SOLD! Unlike its traditional counterpart, this 12” tall Hellmouth is a symbol of protection for the home. This character is made to burn incense cones, warm wax melts or essential oils, and hold smudge sticks. The smoke exits through the chimney at the top. Made from B-Mix and underglazes. The tongue has been glazed with Dynasty Red. Fired to Cone 5.
The GreenMan represents the spirit of the wild, growth, and the deep connection between humanity and the natural world. He is a mask wall hanging, clay body of B-Mix, painted with underglazes & glazes, fired to Cone 5.
The first of 4 sisters. Her element is Earth. A whimsical combination of 2 clay bodies: B-Mix and Aardvark Charcoal, highlighted with underglazes and fired to Cone 5.
Bmix with grog & underglazed. Fired to Cone 5.
Post-firing additions: faux-leather collar & steel faux razor blade. This piece and more will be shown at the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art, April 24 & 25 at the Delta of Venus on B Street in Davis, CA.
Combination clay bodies of Aardvark Charcoal and Laguna B-Mix. Underglazed, then glaze fired with minimal materials. Dropped & smashed to bits - then adhered back together with Kintsugi Repair material, creating a dramatic effect.
